Latest Winter Camping Trip

Our latest family winter camping trip has taken us just down the road, to one of our all time favourite spots on the Coromandel Peninsula....Hahei.
Here we always choose a hilltop camp site at the campground which looks out over the ocean and islands. This time we tried out the bike racks we have available for hire and took our bikes for a leisurely ride around the quiet streets and lanes. The days were sunny and crisp and the LPG heater inside the motorhome kept us all warm at night. If you have a favourite spot that you always head to when you go camping, we'd love to hear about it.

A Winter Campervan holiday

Thinking about a campervan holiday this winter in New Zealand?
Take some time to have a look at the various features on offer in our campervans and motorhomes for hire. We'll make sure you stay warm and cosy with fleecy blankets and thick duvets. Our vehicles are insulated and have thermal curtains to help keep the warmth in. Heating systems come in the form of electric fan heaters which can be used when you are connected into mains power at a campground. Our motorhomes also have gas fired air blown heaters installed which means you can freedom camp and still be comfortable. Low daily rental rates from May through to September allow you to take a little extra time to really explore our winter wonderlands. Plan a ski trip today or head south for some magnificent scenery. Family Motorhome Holidays

We love family motorhome holidays and we know what its like to travel with children. Hiring a motorhome or campervan provides convenience for a family, it's safe, cost effective and flexible and it gives you transport, a kitchen, bathroom and a place to sleep. Everything is on hand when you need it.
You’re on your own schedule, you can stop to drink, eat & sleep when you want. You get to keep your things in a familiar place and sleep in the same bed but see something different every day. And at the campground in the evening, there are new friends to play with and other parents you can share a pre dinner drink with, giving everyone some time out. Discover a new way to have a family adventure together, visit us at Coastal Campers.

Collecting a Rental Campervan or Motorhome

When you collect a campervan or motorhome from our small family based business you’ll receive a warm welcome and a fully guided tour on how to operate all the facilities in the vehicle you are hiring. Please allow 30 minutes for the tour and to complete the rental agreement. You will need to present your driver’s license and credit card. At Coastal Campers we only take an imprint of your card for the security bond and insurance excess, no funds are taken from your account. This is returned to you at the end of the hire providing there is no damage. An operations manual is also on board and we are always available for contact should you have a problem.
