Easy to use, simply bring your own internet device and keep in touch with family and friends while you're on holiday. It's great for planning ahead, you can pre-book tours and excursions, upload your travel photos onto Facebook, Email & Skype whenever you want and in your own time.

New to our fleet are our Premier 4 berth Motorhomes, perfect for those who prefer a few little extras while they travel. These beautifully appointed Motorhomes feature the latest cabinetry design with modern fabrics in the living areas. An inbuilt LCD TV/DVD player cleverly hides away inside a slide out cupboard and the onboard Water Filter provides fresh drinking water. The exterior Awning provides shade in the summer and with these motorhomes aged less than 2 years and built on the reliable Mitsubishi Canter chassis, you’ll have a trouble free holiday.

Hiring a motorhome or campervan provides convenience for a family, it's safe, cost effective and flexible and it gives you transport, a kitchen, bathroom and a place to sleep. Collecting a Rental Campervan or Motorhome

When you collect a campervan or motorhome from our small family based business you’ll receive a warm welcome and a fully guided tour on how to operate all the facilities in the vehicle you are hiring. Please allow 30 minutes for the tour and to complete the rental agreement. You will need to present your driver’s license and credit card. At Coastal Campers we only take an imprint of your card for the security bond and insurance excess, no funds are taken from your account. This is returned to you at the end of the hire providing there is no damage. An operations manual is also on board and we are always available for contact should you have a problem.

What to bring on a Campervan holiday

It’s a good idea to bring your belongings in small collapsible or soft sided bags. Once you have unpacked, these can be easily fitted into one of the storage areas, unlike a suitcase.
If you are hiring a vehicle from Coastal Campers in Whitianga, you’ll find starter kits in all of our vehicles. These include dishwashing detergent, soap, toilet paper & tissues. On board you’ll also find salt & pepper, tea towels, first aid kit, torch, maps and information. Your fresh, clean bedding, linen and towels will be ready for you to use. Simply bring your clothing and personal items.
You can visit a supermarket close by to purchase food, coffee, milk & sugar etc. Outdoor chairs and table are provided free of charge.

Hiring a Campervan the easy way

When you're planning to hire a campervan in New Zealand, make sure you know whats included for the advertised daily rate.
Not all campervan companies are the same. Some have a daily rate that needs insurance added on top of it and some will charge you for extra items that you need on a camping holiday, like outdoor chairs and tables. You may also be charged for extras when you return from your travels. This can include Diesel Road User Charges (a tax in NZ chargeable by the amount of kilometres you have travelled) and LPG refilling.
At Coastal Campers, Whitianga we make it easy for you with a daily rate that includes everything, even insurance. You’ll find outdoor chairs and table on board, free of charge because you need to have somewhere to sit outside and enjoy a sunset on an evening. We have free road user charges and roadside assistance and we ask you to refill the LPG bottle before you return so you only need to pay for the amount you used.
